Abstract: A study was carried out to examine the total reducing sugar content in the kernels, mesorcarp, leaves and callus tissues of both mantled and normal oil palm clones. The results showed that the mantled clones seemed to have a higher level of reducing sugars particularly in the kernels and the callus tissues. The difference observe in the leaves was found not to be highly significant except in P38 clone
